Always giving our best within our abilities; that’s the attitude to have when meeting challenges that Arne Friedrich recommends both in sport and business.  The former German squad football player (2002-2011) took part in a roundtable organised by the German-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILA) with Steffi Jones, also a former German national squad player (1993-2007).

The ‘Sports meets Business – Europe playing at home’ event was moderated by Silke Buss on March 25 at the offices of SIXT at Factory Lisbon.  The fact that she is a competition level tennis player and usually builds a bridge between sport and business in BUSS Comunicação coaching sessions, made it easier for her to pick out the career highlights of these top league ex-football players.

Steffi Jones and Arne Friedrich came to Portugal to promote EURO 2024 in Germany. The two UEFA ambassadors are among five ambassadors that the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs appointed in February.

During the round table they revealed their skills and attitudes on autocoaching, mindset, teams coaching, leadership in moments of success, and in tough times; all extremely useful in the world of business too. Yet another excellent event from CCILA!
